The more attentive among you will have noticed that Speed Eagle is now in full colour, by the glorious plumage of our mascot, the Speed Eagle hovering above you on the page.
Please don't be alarmed by the fact that the tips of his wings appear to have been chopped off. This is no way a reference to our "having our wings clipped", to reference the popular idiom. Popular idioms are just that - popular, and as you would well now know; to quote Oprah Winfery:
“If you come to fame not understanding who you are, it will define who you are.”
Our wings have never been more powerful. They are entirely unencumbered and flapping freely.
Since Speed Eagle was last published, some of you will have been born and hence you are almost entirely blameless for not knowing who this is you're speaking to. I'm sure you'll figure it out. Why not look at the surrounding text for contextual information? Nine out of ten pieces of information are not in what anybody says, they are in body language mostly.
We are going to replay some of Speed Eagle's classic hits from our Black & White days, as some of your original copies have been soiled. Please be a bit more careful with them this time.
